Hello, my name is Lynette Bunno. I am head instructor at Superior Martial Arts. It is my passion to make a difference within our community. I have helped countless individuals become achievers and leaders through martial arts training. I have seen our training build confidence in the most reluctant people. It has empowered people to do things which they wouldn’t normally do.

Martial arts team earns medals

Daily Press News: November 12, 2008

Nine members of Superior Martial Arts Karate Team participated in a martial arts tournament at Sault Ste. Marie Saturday. They took 22 medals in events that included sparring, forms and self-defense techniques. Cohl Coppock and Becky Moran both earned the title of Grand Champion. Emily Johnson also tied for a Grand Championship. The participants include: Front row from left, Dalton Lauerman, Rian Kwarciany, Steve Dahl, Ben Troutman; back, Instructor Mitch Bunno, Becky Moran, Danny Hockin, Cohl Coppock, Emily Johnson, Zach Hamilton, Sensei Lynette Bunno

Superior Martial Arts owner and instructor Lynette Bunno instructs her students during a recent class at her Gladstone studio. Bunno, a proponent of leadership-building in youth, has implemented a plan to chart student development in the area of self-discipline using the “Leadership Chores List.” The list, which has been published by Superior Martial Arts, calls for family, parent and instructor teamwork.
